The collection represents the 1969 student movement of the Faculty of Humanities of Loránd Eötvös University. Students from different social backgrounds cooperated against the official Communist Youth League (KISZ) based on the model of the student revolts of 1968, demanding greater democratic accountability.

68 000 Intelligence Files of the State Security Service for Croatia

The collection contains approximately 68,800 intelligence files produced by the State Security Service of the Republic Internal Affairs Secretariat of the Socialist Republic of Croatia, the civilian security and intelligence service in Croatia in the period from 1946 to 1990. The Service monitored all persons whose activities were assessed as a threat to the state's political and security system. A significant number of files pertain to members of religious communities, political émigrés, participants in the Croatian Spring, as well as other political and intellectual dissidents.

ARS – First Series Collection

This collection contains the original issues of ARS – Review of Culture, Art and Science, a literary journal first published from 1986 to 1989 in Montenegro. The circle of intellectuals associated with ARS anticipated many of the social and political issues that escalated into the worst forms of nationalism in the early 1990s, leading to the dissolution of Yugoslavia. Because of their non-conformist attitudes, members of ARS, and its publisher, the Literary Municipality of Cetinje, found themselves under pressure by the communist regime. Consequently, the journal was forced to cease publication in 1989.

Action of Light Collection

The collection consists of artefacts about the 'Action of Light', established by Paulis Kļaviņš, which operated in the 1970s and 1980s. It aimed to support religious dissidents and human rights campaigners in Latvia, and to inform the public in the West about the real situation in Soviet Latvia.

Adrian Marino Collection at BCU Cluj-Napoca

The collection illustrates Adrian Marino’s intellectual evolution as a historian and literary critic who chose to pursue his activity outside the institutions controlled by the communist regime. The Marino Collection includes books, original manuscripts, and the author’s correspondence, which reflects a critical perspective on Romanian literary life in the period 1964–1989.
